Volunteer

Volunteers are key to the success of Gibson County Animal Services. Thanks to the countless hours donated by the many hard-working community members, our shelter has progressed greatly from its humble beginnings.

Volunteers assist our full-time staff in their daily activities, as well as provide love and attention for our homeless animals. We offer several ways for interested persons to get involved at our shelter.

Ways to Volunteer Include…

  • Walking dogs

  • Manning festival booths

  • Taking animals to local nursing homes

  • Teaching shelter dogs to walk on a leash

  • Answering phones for Spay Day

  • Choosing a “Project Pet” and help it find a home

  • Becoming a foster home for recuperating animals

  • Make posters for special events

  • Performing minor repairs around the shelter

  • Transporting animals
